He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Stanfel and Mary Stanfel; and his siblings, Frank Stanfel, Catherine Stanfel and Margaret Anne Wright.
He is survived by: his children, Suzanne (Mark), Sally (Jeff), Carolyn (Manouchehr) and Michael (Blythe); his great grandchildren, Andrea, Ashley, Austin, Alex, Angela, Matthew, Shereen, Shayla, Joshua, Jonathan and Gianna; and his sister Mary Kay Allen (Jim) of Shawnee. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Iowa PKU Foundation or Dowling Catholic High School.
