It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon C. Stone (West Des Moines, Iowa), who passed away on September 7, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Walter Stone and Rosella Margaret Johnson (Behrends). He is survived by: his friend Pat; his wife Janet; his sons, James L. Stone of Chariton, IA, Thomas L. Stone of Derby, IA and Jere A. Stone of Des Moines, IA; his stepchildren, Kathleen J. Carr, Michael W. Carr of Johnston, IA, Madonna C. Bloom of Ankeny, IA, Kimberly M. Hofbauer and Valerie R. Upham (Todd) of San Diego, CA; and his sister Frances Beying (Stephen) of Hastings, MN. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces; and 2 nephews.
