She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph McGrath and Catherine McGrath; her husband Ed Kistenmacher; her brothers, Joseph McGrath, James McGrath and Bernard McGrath; and her son-in-law John Brubaker.

She is survived by: her children, Linda, Mark (Terri), Glenn (Lori) and Irene (Dan). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be directed to St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1105 Grand Avenue, West Des Moines, Iowa 50265.
