She was predeceased by: her parents, William Harness and Mary Harness; and her husband David Reed Henson. She is survived by: her sons, David Michael and Patrick John; her sister-in-law Diana Henson; her brother Bill Harness (Carolyn); and her sibling's children, Matthew (Jenny), Michael (Elana), Lucas and Alexis.
Memorial contributions may be made out to Blank Park Zoo, Des Moines Women's Club, and independent theatre groups in Des Moines.
