With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Russell Newcomb Jr. of West Liberty, Iowa, who passed away on July 5, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Newcomb and Christine Newcomb (Failer); and his son Curt. He is survived by: his wife Louise Rabe; his daughter Chris Newcomb (Jim Johnson) of Clarksville; his daughter-in-law Lisa Newcomb of West Liberty; his grandchildren, Sean Newcomb, BJ Newcomb (Sarah), Zach Newcomb (Leslie Torres), Chelsea Theobald (Jake), Chantal Staley (Travis), Chandra Kline (Connor), Cole Hampton (Andrea Gibbs) and Chaise Hampton (Hallie); his great grandchildren, Jacob Newcomb, Logan, Libby Newcomb, Lucie Torres, Jack, Wally Theobald, Brycen, Raycen Staley, Brylee, Kinzley Kline, Dutton and Caliber Hampton; and his siblings, James "Jim" Newcomb (Jeanna) of Cedar Falls and Carol Satke (Thomas) of St. Louis, Missouri..
Visitation was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the West Liberty Community Center (1204 N Calhoun St, West Liberty, IA 52776). A celebration of life was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to WL & Rural Township Fire and EMS Association.
