He was predeceased by: his parents, Camiel DeSpiegelaere and Agnes Mage DeSpiegelaere (Madsen); his wife Doreen Louise Gardell; his daughters, Lisa Jelden and Lois DeSpiegelaere; and his siblings, Dorothy, Rose, Caroline, Cecelia, David, Roger, John, Nancy, Richard and James.
He is survived by: his daughters, Louise Carlisle (James) of Jacobsen and Lori Morstoller of Seattle, Washington; his girlfriend Elizabeth Farmer of West Liberty; and his siblings, Carl DeSpiegelaere (Beth), Mary Meyers and Esther Dybevik. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Heath Manor (1002 N Miller St, West Liberty, IA 52776).
