He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Ahsen and Ida Von Ahsen (Maas); his siblings, Merlin, Wilferd Von Ahsen and Leona Smarsty; and his granddaughter Anna Von Ahsen.
He is survived by: his wife June Page; his sons, Greg Von Ahsen (Connie) of North English and Garth Von Ahsen (Vickie) of Williamsburg; his grandchildren, Amanda Ritchie (Marshall), Eva Lutz (Chris), Jane Van Zee (Brett), John Von Ahsen and Josh Von Ahsen; and his siblings, Ivan Von Ahsen (Alice) of Cedar Rapids, Edith Wille of Solon and Vera Spratt of Holbrook. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
