It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ida Strunk in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on June 11, 2025, at the age of 109, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Trimpe and Rosina Trimpe (Von Ahsen); her husband Richard Strunk; and her siblings, Arnold Trimpe, Alfred Trimpe, Raymond Trimpe, Paul Trimpe, Ruth Koehn, Edna Wetjen, Lorena Moennich, Esther Huedepohl, Luella Barnes and Viola Lemon.
She is survived by: her sister-in-law Esther Sandersfeld. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Powell Funeral Home-Williamsburg (407 N Highland St, Williamsburg, IA 52361). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Powell Funeral Home (407 N Highland St, Williamsburg, IA 52361).
