Betty Canby Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 17, 2020, at the age of 80, Betty Canby of Winfield, Iowa, born in Burlington, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Ray Ross and Gladys Ross (Watson); her son Eric Canby; her brother Jerry; and her sister-in-law Jean Ross.
She is survived by : her former life partner Allen Rex Canby; her husband Swedesburg; her children, Dr. Craig Canby (Lisa) of Norwalk, Diane Holt (Mike) of Jackson and Fay Strait (Jim) of Urbandale, Iowa.; her grandchildren, Lauren Canby, Rachel Canby, Rainey Hamlin, Jack Strait and Cortland Strait; her great grandchild Adalynn DeMoss; and her sister Judi Schieffelbein (Carl).
Due to the pandemic restrictions, a Celebration of Life Service will be held for the public at a later date at the First Presbyterian Church in Winfield.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Betty.
