She was predeceased by : her parents, Raymond Degen and Mellie Degen (Lott); her husband Richard "Fidler" Beard; and her brother John. She is survived by : her children, Richard Beard (Jackie) of Crawfordsville, Karen Lihs of Kansas City, MO, Debra Briggs of Mediapolis, Cindy Beard of Winfield, Bruce Beard (Jonalee) of Belgrade, MO, Susan Beard of Winfield, Linda Hendricksmeyer (Steve) of Keokuk and Cheryl Beard of Winfield; her sisters, Lois Hull of Hannibal, MO and Dorothy Bowers of Burlington; and her aunt Frances Scoggins. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.

A memorial has been established at the funeral home in memory of Evelyn.
