He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul Overton and Mildred Overton; his siblings, Tom Overton, Larry Overton, Randy Overton, Gary Overton, Carol Feldman and Sharon Bimrose; and his brothers-in-law, Austin Ballentine and David Bimrose.

He is survived by : his wife Maryann Riley of Winterset; his children, Karl Overton (Cindy) of Des Moines, Kasey Overton (Debra) of Des Moines and Lisa Tresten (Josef) of Winterset; his grandchildren, Derek, Tim, Megan, Zach, LeeAnn, Courtney, Teri and Sharon; and his great grandchildren, Ava, Mia, Dallas of Myles, T. K. and Onyx. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
