He was predeceased by : his parents, Ernest Brown and Ethel Brown (Murphy); his former life partner Sandra Hammer; and his siblings, LaDonna Speer and Larry Brown.

He is survived by : his wife Reta Brown of Winterset; his children, Todd Brown of Winterset and Tonya Kerres (Mike) of Omaha; his sisters, Elaine Newton (Robert) of Winterset, Arlene Beerends (Bryce) of Prairie City and Mary Onstot (John) of Newton; his grandchildren, Brandon, Alix (Nick), Abigail (Zach), Hannah and Sophia; his great grandchildren, Brett and Ava; and his siblings-in-law, Jackie Brown and Wayne Speer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation.
