Merle South Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merle South of Winterset, Iowa, born in Ellston, Iowa, who passed away on October 19, 2021 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Park Meredith Ellison and Grace Leona Ellison (Thompson); her sons, Steven Meredith and Phillip Linn; and her husband Howard.

She is survived by : her daughters-in-law, Barbara South (Steven) and Nancy South (Phillip) of Omaha; her grandchildren, Meredith South and Matthew South; and her brother Cecil Ellison. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family has asked that flowers and memorial donations be directed thru the Powers Funeral Home.
