She was predeceased by : her parents, Ralph Kenneth Bodkin and Audrey LaVonne Vozenilek (Clark); her husband Jerald Walker Koontz Sr.; her children, Deborah Koontz and Dennis Koontz; her brothers, Jerry, Dennis and Allen; her grandson Kyle Miller; and her sons-in-law, Salvatore Lembo and Chris Thomas.
She is survived by : her children, Sylvia DeMoss (Donald) of Baldwin, IA, Jerald Koontz Jr. of Maquoketa, IA, Timmy Koontz of Maquoketa, IA, Marcie Skeffington (Thomas) of DeWitt, IA, Kimberly Lembo of Maquoketa, IA, Christine Ehlinger (Dale) of Brighton, IA, Thelma Yarolem (Tim) of Wyoming, IA, Betty Hoist (Randy) of Brighton, IA, Troy Koontz (Carla) of Lost Nation, IA, Jennifer Thomas of Maquoketa, IA and Stacie Bodenhofer of Maquoketa, IA; and her sister Judy Koontz of Maquoketa, IA. She is also survived by 42 grandchildren, 102 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
