She is survived by: her family, Ray Parkinson (Wendy), Troy Parkinson (Tammy), Becky Clements, Brian Parkinson (Lorie) and Traci Wahlen (Ryan). She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.

LaVerne married James Melvin Parkinson on November 4, 1960.
