He was predeceased by: his parents, James Jirik and Mary Jirik (Stolka); his son Frank John Jirik, Jr.; and his siblings, Ben, Albert, Josephine Kaufmann, Julie Krautkremer, Frances Simon and Maryann Piechowski.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Matiowsky of Boise, ID; his friend South; his children, Steven (Helen) of Boise, ID, Patrick (Kate) of Rochester, MN, Ted of Moorhead, MN, Annmarie of Boise, ID and Amy Hagen (Pat) of St. Paul, MN; his grandchildren, Meghan, Tim, Ryan, Anna, Julie and Frank Jirik; his sisters, Agnes Dobmeyer (Delmar) and Vicki McGuire of Batavia, IL; and his sister-in-law Martha Filipchuk of Edmonton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
