He was predeceased by: his parents, James Vitley and Bessie Vitley; and his siblings, Tony, Junior, Josephine, Mary and Pearl.

He is survived by: his significant other Dixie Johnson; his sons, Rob (Lynn), Tim (Deonne) and Mike; his grandchildren, Corinne, Beth (Karry), Kara, Sarah (Kane), Ashley, Nick, Kayle, Megan and Tre; his great grandchildren, Kelton, Olivia and Amiyah; and his siblings, Joe and Marcia Green (Vern).
