He was predeceased by: his parents, Rulon Allred and Mabel Allred; his daughter Jamie Lee Allred; and his former wife Marla Achurra. He is survived by: his wife Julie; his children, Daniel David Allred (Tamera) and Debra Lynn Allred; his grandchildren, A'Lesha Michelle Hemphill (Steve), Ryan Thomas Allred, Lauren Taylor Devore (DJ) and Devin Lynn Fisher; his great grandchild Holly Marie Hemphill; and his siblings, David Allred (Terry), Jared Allred (Joanne), Dorothy Solomon (late Bruce), Gary Allred (Bonnie) and Rob Allred (Kayleen). He is also survived by half brothers and sisters, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in Joe's large extended family.

Joe valiantly fought a long battle with Parkinson's disease, COPD and osteoporosis.
