He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Lowell Vaughn and Monida Knowles Vaughn; and his wife Mary Lou Cappiello. He is survived by: his children, Kathy, Rick, Carolyn and Rob; his grandchildren, Megan, Ashley, Melissa, Angela, Arica, Veronica and Micah; and his great grandchildren, Shelby, Kira, Anna, Abbey, Brian, Brody, Nyla, Zayley, Aria, Michael and Katherine.

Donations can be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital in his honor.
