He is survived by: his wife Jean Eckhardt; his brothers, Jack Eckhardt and Dave Eckhardt; and his children, Chip Eckhardt, Cory Eckhardt and Trish Eckhardt. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers a donation to the family to help with funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated.
