He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Thomas and Phyllis Poulton Holt; his daughter Linda Holt; his grandson Austin Holt; and his brothers, Thomas Holt, Ronald "Skip" Holt and Max Perry Holt.
He is survived by: his wife Linda LaRue Thompson; his children, Tony Holt (Linda), Charlotte Lewis (Dale), Tamera Jackson (Brian), Jeremy Holt (Starla), Justin Holt (Rhiannon) and Dustin Holt; and his siblings, Larayne Morlett, Brenda Olsen, Phillip Holt (Donna) and Adrienne Burkhardt (Mark). He is also survived by six children; 26 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
