He is survived by : his wife Sharon of Challis; his children, Barbara Carlisle (Matt) of Boise, Melvin Lanier (Terri) of Challis and Barney Lanier (Taneal) of Challis; his grandchildren, Megan Brown of Boise, Matthew Brown (Hannah) of Sundance, Michael Brown of Boise, Mason Brown of Kuna, Dennis of Challis, Cody of Challis, Paige of Challis, Ashley of Challis and Alexis Lanier of Challis; his great grandchildren, Charlotte "Charlie" and Rowan Brown of Sundance; his siblings, Nadine Baker-Phelps of Burley, Wayne Lanier of Idaho Falls and Frank (Marilyn) of Bliss; his sister-in-law Blanche Lanier of Jerome; and his siblings, Merritt (Marie) of Leslie and Sandi Risner of Nampa. He is also survived by many family members and friends.
