With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ellen Rice of Pocatello, Idaho, who passed away on June 10, 2025 at the age of 88. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elvin Charles Mecham and Barbara Ellen Stutznegger Mecham; her husband Dee Rice; her son Robert "Bob" Rice (Susan); her grandson Casey Dee Rice; her siblings, Elvin Mecham, James Mecham, Millie Helm and Donald Mecham; and her siblings-in-law, Carl Marler, Claude Vaughn, Richard Davis and Darla Smith Mecham.
She is survived by: her children, Ron (Kathy), Dave (Debbie), Jon (Sandra) and Nate (Julia); her siblings, LaRene Mecham Vaughn, Velda Mecham Davis, Bertha Mecham Marler, Daryle Mecham (Jackie), Doyle Mecham (Marilyn) and Gloria Mecham Cheirrett (Clair); and her sister-in-law Helen Lyman Mecham. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Wilks Funeral Home (211 W Chubbuck Rd, Chubbuck, ID 83202). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
