He was predeceased by: his parents, Tsunematsu "Tom" Onishi and Sue Okazaki Onishi; and his siblings, Sunny Onishi, Harry Onishi, Bobby Onishi, Susie Shigahara, Sumie Hata, Tomie Miya, Mary Ogawa, Dorothy Terao and Lillian Ishida.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Louise Onishi; his children, Darren Onishi of Paul, ID, Greg Onishi of Blackfoot, ID and Kris (Randy Sluder); and his grandchildren, Cheyenne Onishi, Nick, Cherydan Onishi Bywater, Kai Sluder and Kameron Sluder. He is also survived by nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wilks Funeral Home (211 W Chubbuck Rd, Chubbuck, ID 83202). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
