He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Carolyn Utterback and Maurice Richard Shutes; and his granddaughter Mia Shutes. He is survived by: his wife Linda Marie Shutes; his sons, Matthew Jacob Shutes (Stephanie), Ryan Cristopher Shutes (Venessa), Thayne Perry Shutes (Angela) and Brent Richard Shutes; and his sister Cissy Prestage. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren.
