He was predeceased by: his parents, Theobald Charles Maurer Sr. and Anna Louise White; his siblings, Jack, Mike, Donnie and Jean; and his son Ted Maurer Ill.
He is survived by: his former wife Margaret Anne Pooley; his wife Barbara Tharp of Eagle, Idaho; his children, Colleen Goff, Donna Goodson (Brit), Tom Maurer, Marilyn Reid (Jim), Bill Maurer (Jody) and Valerie Lazzara (Frank); and his stepchildren, Arnie Tharp (Blair), Jim Tharp (Karen) and Anne Tharp. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
