She was predeceased by : her parents, Elmer Sweaney and Zenobia Sweaney; her husband Dallas Rogers August; her brothers, Pat, Jack and Harold; and her son-in-law Eddy.

She is survived by : her daughters, Lynda Eagans and Shirley Burton (Jon). She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
