He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Sidney Hawkes and Genevieve Pearl Goodwin Hawkes; and his siblings, Roland, Mertin, Jay Hawkes, Ruth Scott and Virginia Charlesworth.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Hawkes of Kimberly; his children, Jan Hawkes (Rebecca), Debra Hawkes, Francee Stevenson (Scott), Lorie Farris and Lisa Hansen (Corey); and his sisters, Afton Shawver and Orva Nelson. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
