She was predeceased by : her mother F. E. VanDeventer; her siblings, Lt. Colonel E. E. VanDeventer, Eugene VanDeventer and Estelle Wessel (Alvin Wessel); and her son Lynn Darnell Bowen.

She is survived by : her husband Donald D. Bowen; her brothers, Virgil and Vernon VanDeventer; her sisters-in-law, Joyce, Lorraine and Jane VanDeventer; her children, Tamme Bowen and Bradley Bowen (Tiffany); her grandchildren, Stephanie Bowen and Blake Bowen (Sydney); her great grandchildren, Olyvia and Victoria Bowen; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Amari, Aubri Niko and Jackson Lester. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
