In loving memory of Elizabeth Jean Magoon in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, who departed this world on May 14, 2026 at the age of 76. Elizabeth leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Chilson and Frances Chilson; her husband John Magoon; her son Robert; her son-in-law Kyle Hirsch; and her siblings, Carol Pehan, Ralph Chilson, Helen Lapp, Jeanne Overman, Harold Chilson, David Chilson, Jack Chilson and Tom Chilson.
She is survived by: her children, Duane Magoon (Ivona) of Bunkerville, Rod Magoon of Winnemucca, Deanna Hamilton (Don) of Elko, Barbara Hirsch of Mullan, Harold Magoon (Daniele) of Winnemucca, Lynnette Housley (Jeff) of Carlin, Kenny Magoon of Mullan and Cathy Tackett (Daniel Baker) of Williston; her grandchildren, Dahlen, Callie, McKay, Victoria, Kami, Robert, Chancey, Jon, Ana, Derrick, Anthony, Lance, Britany, Aimee, Jordyn, Tiffiany, Ashley, Nic, Ryan, Tyler, Steven, Krista, Liz, Mike, Brandon, Lexie and Olivia; and her close friends, Sue Stull and Vic Overman. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, extended family members, dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Shoshone Funeral Services (106 S Main St, Kellogg, ID 83837).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty's memory to Hospice of North Idaho.
