Edward Charles Wofford Obituary
Edward C. Wofford, 88, of Nampa, went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, September 27, 2021, having passed away at home. The family will greet loved ones and friends at the Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel in Nampa, ID on Tuesday, Oct. 5 at 11 A.M. Ed was the firstborn to his parents Herbert & Adeline Wofford in Brinkley, Arkansas on January 27, 1933. He had a younger brother, Joseph, and younger sister, Mary.
Ed was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and served as an Avionic Radar Tech, flying on spy missions off the Korean Coast. Ed was an Ordained Minister for the Assembly of God Church International Fellowship. Ed also was proud to serve as President of Women’s Aglow.
Ed married Kathryn I Moye (1933-2009) in 1954. When Ed retired with his wife, Kathy, they moved to Nampa, Idaho to live out their golden years. After his first wife’s passing in 2009, he married Marilyn Tanner in 2010.
He left behind a legacy of love with his surviving family, his sister Mary, his children Beverly, Brad, David, Timothy and Paul and his grandchildren Stephen, Catherine, Chrissy, Alex, Rachel, Isaac, Chad, Nate, Mckenna, Timothy and Tytus. Ed joins a family in heaven including his mother and father, a brother and a grandson. Ed also leaves behind countless friends and spiritual children.
He has touched thousands of lives through his numerous ministries. Ed donated much of his time to rest homes, juvenile facilities, home Bible studies and ministry to anyone that God placed in his path. He was a true Christian who dedicated his life to showing this world God's love.
He continued the ministry with his second wife, Marilyn, who has been a true blessing to the Wofford family. Marilyn requests that in lieu of sending flowers, that a commitment to serve the Lord Jesus Christ would be wonderful.
