He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert D. Phillips and Norma E. Phillips; his sister Shirley; and his son Stephen Dan. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Ann Clopton of Payette; his children, Steve Phillips (Diana) of Ontario, Dan Phillips of Payette and Michelle Dozier (Richard) of Paul, Idaho; and his grandchildren, Justin, Heather, Clinton, Brennan, Gabe, Sydney and Mathew. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.

He died in a Boise hospital after a month battle with Covid-19.
