She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Smith and Alene Smith (Tyree); and her siblings, Marcia Hendricksen, Norman Smith and Ronald Smith.

She is survived by: her spouse Gayle Whitney; her daughter Julia Redlin (Whitney); her son-in-law Paul Redlin; her grandson Evan Redlin of Spokane, Washington; her siblings, Gale Smith of Otis Orchards and Karen Gartleman of Post Falls; and her aunt Edith Boone (Smith) of Portland, OR.. She is also survived by 10 nieces, nephews and many cousins.
