He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcelino Arteaga and Victorina Arteaga Ruiz; his brother Baltazar Arteaga; his sister-in-law Beatriz Arteaga; his nephews, Jose Arteaga, Francisco Cuevas Jr and Francisco Vega Jr. (Con); his brothers-in-law, Francisco Cuevas, Serafin Leon and Francisco Vega Sr; his sibling's children, Josefina, Julio Arteaga and Javier Mario Arteaga; his parents-in-law, Felix Juarez and Margarita Arteaga Cruz; and his brother-in-law Javier Juarez.
He is survived by: his wife Delia Arteaga; his children, Lourdes Pena (Ignacio Pena), Rocio Ramirez (Carlos Ramirez), Baldemar Arteaga Jr and Jenny Salinas (Luis Salinas); his grandchildren, Yesenia Juarez, Isela Juarez, Erica Ramirez, Leo Ramirez, Salvador Tafoya, Manuel Pena, Valerie Pena, Evelyn Pena, Cesar Juarez, Khriz Salinas, Itzel Salinas, Cruz Arteaga and Evangeline Arteaga; and his great grandchild Brissa Juarez.
