He was predeceased by : his parents, Chester Marcum and Nettie Ruth Marcum; and his wife Maurine Hamblin. He is survived by : his children, Tom Marcum (Sue), Alma Marcum (Sonya) and Mary Jordan (Layne); his grandchildren, Adele Marcum, Collette Pulsipher (Paul), Paige Harmon (Clay), Sydney Jordan, Kacey Jordan (Jess) and Alex Marcum; his great grandchildren, Reagan and Charlotte; and his brothers, Shelby and Selar.
