He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward Longbons and Nettie Longbons (Fewkes); and his siblings, James Edward Longbons, Evalyn Bond, Gerald Longbons, Mary Clark and Doyle Longbons.

He is survived by : his wife Patricia Kay; his children, Phillip Bruce Longbons (Trena), Brian Edward Longbons (Susan) and Jana Kay Miller (Skip); and his grandchildren, Andrew Longbons, Judd Longbons (Brittany), Adam Longbons-Koenig, Patricia Saab, Simon Saab (Ashley) and Cecilia Michels (Larry).

Memorials may be made to the Little Prairie Cemetery Fund or the Albion Public Library.
