He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Chrisman and Gwendolyn Chrisman (Smith); and his sons, Kenneth and Christopher. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Barnes Day; his children, Gary Day (Carol) of Aledo, Lisa Day-Silva (John) of Antioch, CA and Laurie Laidlow of Murray, KY; his grandchildren, Shonda, Robert, Adam, Lacey (Sam), Kortney (Dan) and Lisa (Marty); his great grandchildren, Devin (Destiny), Rocky (Megan), Kaycee (Delia), Allura (Kaleb), Zach, Kylie (Brady) and Allie; and his sister Annette Bonner (Everett) of Fresno, CA..
