She was predeceased by : her parents, Perry Ward and Florence Ghere (Garber); her former life partner Donald G. Miller; her spouse Byford P. Hancock; and her siblings, Harold Ghere, Bob Ghere, Carl Ghere, Evelyn Swisher, Margaret Van Cleave and Sadie Ethel Goulden.

She is survived by : her children, Daryl Miller (Diana) of Arcola, IL and Pam Harter (Todd) of Napa, CA; her grandchildren, Trish Miller of Claremont, CA, Joshua, Jeromy Knaus of Effingham, IL and Jordan Miller of Arcola, IL; and her brother-in-law Robert Van Cleave of Tuscola, IL.. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Arcola First Christian Church or the Arcola Lions Club.
