She was predeceased by: her parents, David Marr and Selma Marr; her husband Roger Grandt; her son David Grandt (Christine); her nephews, Charles Grandt, William Grandt and James Grandt; and her family Mandla Khumalo (Lindiwe Khumalo).
She is survived by: her children, Craig Grandt (Deborah) and Tracey Surprenant (George); her grandchildren, Scott Grandt, Todd Grandt (Mah Sa), Nicole Hodges (Todd), Mandy Grissom (Chris), Ashley Hubbell (Steve), Allison Gill (James), Jessica Surprenant (Mike Doss) and Grant Surprenant (Danielle); her great grandchildren, Dylan, Brooke, Ayla, Emma, Kate, Jake, Vaughn, Addison, Brody, Evelyn, Harper, Cami, Georgia, Elliotte and Kannon; her goddaughter Denise Reid; and her children, Muzi Khumalo and Buzi Khumalo.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peter Lutheran Church (111 W Olive St, Arlington Heights, IL 60004).
In lieu of flowers the family ask that a donation be made in her name to the St. Peter Endowment Fund.
