He is survived by: his brother-in-law Guy Karm; his sisters, Nancy Kennedy (Dan) and Janet Ries (Tom); his nieces and nephews, Dr. Amanda Karm (Tony Solano), Katie Mudra (Jeff), Madeline Bach (David), Anna Safstrom Sarah (Tim), Julie Ries, Mark Karm and Robert Ries; his great-nephews, Vinny and Nico Solano; and his great-niece Luna Safstrom.

Family requests, memorials may be given to a charity of the donor's choice.
