She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Chester Knierim and Colburn Simms Knierim; her sisters, Helen "Susie" Knierim and Jeanette Brix; her husband John Kessler; her sons, Curtis Kessler (Jennifer) of Virden and Carl Kessler (Amanda) of Auburn; her grandchildren, Clayton, Evan and Ryan; and her sister Marge Wilcoxen. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Sugar Creek United Methodist Church, Divernon Helping Hands or Auburn Helping Hands/Trojan Food 4 Kids.
