He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Daw (Bickert) and Hobart Sr. Daw; his brothers, Duane, Hobart Jr. and Alan; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Daw, Elaine Daw, June Daw, Janet Bassett (Howard) and Carol Bodwell (David).
He is survived by: his wife Joan Yvonne Dano; his children, Joseph L. Daw Jr., MD (Victoria) and Julie Ann Daw of Chicago, Illinois; his grandsons, Joseph III, Alexander and Samuel Daw of Westmont; and his sister-in-law Marie Anderson (Donald) of Montgomery, Illinois.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
