It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lydia Hernandez in Aurora, Illinois, who passed away on October 10, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnulfo and Maria of Jesus Garza; and her siblings, Rodolfo Guadalupe Garza (Linares), Maria, Socorro Garza (Monterrey) of Medina, Eduardo Garza (Monterrey), Jose Luis Garza (Linares), Minerva Garza of Gutierrez and Humberto Garza (Monterrey).
She is survived by: her brother Leonardo Garza (Frances); and her sisters-in-law, Juanita "Johnny" Garza (Humberto) of Garza and Celia Tamez (Jose Luis) of Garza. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home (311 E Expy 83, San Juan, TX 78589). A rosary will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Resurrection Catholic Church (312 N 9th St, Alamo, TX 78516).
