She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Dean Allen and Hazel Niles Allen; her husband James Russell Mitchell; her daughters, Anita Mitchell, Carol O'Rourke (late Jim) of Ada, MI and Linda Casper (Mel) of Avon, IL.; her sister Margery Hickerson; her grandchildren, Kirk Hunter (Lori) of Avon, IL, Erin Lew (William) of Minneapolis, MN and Drs; her great grandchildren, Talon, Teagan Hunter, James, Henry, Samuel, Ethan Lew, Maya O'Rourke, Xavier O'Rourke and Baby Kasali; and her stepgranddaughter Angie Settles (Troy).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Abingdon Christian Church or the Avon Fire and Rescue Department in care of Linda Casper, 619 Woods St., Avon, IL 61415.
