Elizabeth Dorothea McGonigle Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth Dorothea McGonigle of Barrington, Illinois, who passed away on October 10, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Schultheis and Catherine Schultheis; her husband Thomas McGonigle; and her daughter Joan Tamburelli. She is survived by: her children, Andrew Blake (Donna), Thomas Blake (Siri), John Blake (Jeannie), Kathryn Hayslip (Stephan), Diane Bennett (David), Gary McGonigle (Sally) and Darlene Medaris (Daun); and her grandchildren, Carly, Andrew (Heather), Matt (Melia), Kimberly (Max), Ben (Alyssa), Eric (Lauren), Julia (Evan), Mark (Abby), Neil, Elizabeth (Drew), Renee (Adam), Scott (Katie), Paul (Britney), Dayna, Branden, Daniel, Kit, Jessica, Matthew, Anna Marie Pete (Don) and Susie (Bill). She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and 3 on the way; 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Saint Anne Catholic Church (120 Ela St, Barrington, IL 60010). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Evergreen Cemetery (610 S Dundee Ave, Barrington, IL 60010).
