With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jerry Johnson (Barry, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 7, 2025 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jerry Johnson to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herschel A. Johnson and Belva Johnson (Saunders); his great grandchild Benjamin Johnson; his in-laws, Charles Cauthon Sr. (Rose) and Mary Cauthon; and his brother-in-law Don Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie McMillin; his children, Michael Johnson (Kristi) of Olathe, Kansas and Jerilyn Owens of Quincy, Illinois; his grandchildren, Jeremy Johnson (Anna), Jenna Wren (Cody), Jared Johnson, Jamie Adkins (Mason) and Matthew Owens; his great grandchildren, Oliver Johnson, Everett Johnson, Beckett Johnson, Cooper Wren, Easton Wren and Hudson Wren; his in-law Genevieve Johnson; his great-nephew Morkie; and his pet Daisy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Niebur Funeral Chapel (629 Mortimer St, Barry, IL 62312). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the Good Samaritan Home, to the care of Niebur Funeral Chapel.
