He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Buikema and Jessie Buikema (Ebbens); and his brother John Buikema. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Buikema (Hamann); his children, Mike Buikema (Sheree), Sue Beezhold (Paul), Kerry Buikema (Michele), Tina Antolik (Patrick) and Tom Buikema (Angie); his grandchildren, Breanna Jones, Lance Findlay, Brandon Buikema, Zach Buikema, Claire Beezhold, Curtis Buikema and Kyle Buikema; and his great grandchild Alara Jones.
