With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Janice Sue (Lambert) Gritzmacher of Belvidere, Illinois, born in Clintwood, Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Janice Sue left this world on May 23, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Richard "Dick" Gritzmacher; her daughter Pamela Lightner Trevino; her grandson LCpl Branden Ramey; her siblings, Patsy Pfaffinger, Jack Lambert and Art Lambert; her parents, Henry Lambert and Rissie Pucket Lambert; and her stepmother Tilda Smith Lambert.
She is survived by: her children, Paula Lightner Sherman, Robin Shacklee Brown, Scott Shacklee (Jennifer) and Jimmy Shacklee (Cyndee); and her grandchildren, Kristin Beard (Josh), Jocelyn Campbell (Gary), Bryce Trevino (Stacey), Brent Trevino (Sarah), Jaryd Reinhofer, Devan Shacklee, Jordan Shacklee (Autumn), Justin Hedman, Trevor Hedman (Krystin) and Breanna Hedman. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Anderson Funeral & Cremation Services (218 W Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008).
Instead of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Branden Ramey Memorial, 4425 Bloods Point Road, Belvidere, IL 61008, which supports scholarships for continued education opportunities for Belvidere High School students in athletics and teaching.
