It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Jane Lawton of Belvidere, Illinois, who passed away on December 30, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her siblings, Charles, Clark McClenthen and Debbie McClenthen; her great grandchild Roman Jr.; her nephews, Jeff Dietrich, Tim Schultz and Eric McClenthen; her niece Angie Montgomery; and her former life partner Meryle Lawton.
She is survived by : her children, Julie Arwood of Rockford, Mike Lawton of Rockford, Ginger (Lane Balderree) and Penny Steadman (Ron) of Belvidere; her siblings, Robert, Jake, Carl, Roy, Rex, Don, David, Daniel, Joe McClenthen, Blanch Williams, Rose Austin, Edna Strang, Shirley Handt and Betty McClenthen; and her grandchildren, Ann McClung, Jessica Hall, William Warner Jr., Joshua Warner, Cindy Grzybowski, Mary Jocobi, Joseph Lawton, Chad White, Jonathon White, Heather Merritt, Brooke East, Amber Prouty, Jenny Sorensen and Dawn Anderson. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews.
