He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Albert McNeal and Bonnie McNeal (Kelly); his children, Beth Todd (Douglas) of Bradenton, FL, Terrah Peterson (Bill) of Norfolk, VA, Rebecca McNeal (Wayne) of Zeigler, Michael McNeal (Diane) of Goreville and John McNeal, II (Larry) of St. Petersburg, FL; and his sisters, Linda Clark Royalton and Ernestine Bird of Herrin. He was also cherished by eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren.
